Did you know that David was
asked to design and lend his art for the very first of
two folk art themed McDonald's restaurants in the United
States? Did you also know that these restaurants are
used at franchise conventions to show potential buyers
how unique their own restaurants can be? If you are
ever in Chillicothe, please visit these two sites. After all, it's the only David's Museum that provides a
side of fries!

The first folk art
McDonald's is located at East Main Street and the second
(which includes ALL original folk art) is located on
Western Avenue. What did David have to say about all of
this? He's loving it! |

David started painting at 10
but has always had a passion for "creating". Here he is at
age 3 trying his hand at construction.

Did you know that some of the
folk art pieces in David's collection are inspired by
his real cats? These identical twin brothers, Arthur and
Edward, were rescued and given a warm home. You will
find these little fellows on every yearly "Folk Art by
DAVID" calendar and in many paintings and resin
sculptures. At David's request, many charities benefit
from sale of "Arthur and Edward" folk art pieces in
hopes of helping those in need.

Did
you know that David works nearly 14 hours 5 days a week
to create the images you see so often. During this time, he often listens to his friend
and favorite singer, Sarah Brightman. Here you see
David, Sarah and Donald during a cocktail party after
one of Sarah's world tour concerts of the "Harem"
project. Sarah Brightman was the female lead for which
the musical "The Phantom Of The Opera" was written.
David and Sarah share the same connection when it comes
to combining fantasy with reality and your art- whatever
your art may be.
